Every designer has a project they hold near and dear to their hearts. Truth and Conviction is mine. From the very start it was a project I believed in, and filmmakers I truly thought the world of. They all have been in the film world for many years and know what they are doing. Theirs was the best script I had ever read! So naturally the pressure to create a beautiful branding guide for them was high and I felt an intense need to give them meaning behind each decision. So that is exactly what I did.

Through extensive research, I found out more about the famous Jan Tschichold, and learned that there were a lot of parallels to his story and the story of Helmut in Truth and Conviction. So I decided to base the entire branding guide around this man, because after all, he is well known and has a beautiful and well crafted look.

Jan became the heart of truth and conviction, and research became my favorite part of the job. This project taught me to back up my design choices and take feedback and turn it into something even better.

The below branding guide was fully created by me, with a lot feedback from my peers and from the series’ filmmakers.

After my departure, Truth and Conviction became Truth and Treason. Truth and Treason is set to premiere Fall of 2025. Below are the posters created using the branding guide I created.
